The FRFD has a 1/4" aluminum diamond plate reinforced for a live load of 150 lb/per sq. ft. and a top frame combined with thermal break 3 1/2" x 2" x 11 gauge stainless steel bottom frame, hinges & hardware.

This floor access door has 1" thick layers of ceramic blanket insulation attached to the bottom frame and a 316 stainless steel continuous piano hinge.

The door panel can open to 90 degrees. An automatic hold open arm with a red vinyl grip keeps the door open to ensure safe egress. Its stainless steel compression springs provide lift assistance and a U.L. listed 165 degrees fusible link for automatic closing and latching in the event of smoke or fire.
