One material you may need to meet building codes and requirements is the FWC-5015, a recessed fire-rated access door. You can install them on drywall ceilings, but you'll need to conceal the door panel consistent with its surroundings if you plan to install it on drywall walls.
A critical feature of the FWC-5015 is its 22 gauge recessed steel door fitted with a 5/8" thick drywall suitable for a skim coat finish once installed on site. The door frame comes in a 22 gauge steel, press bent for strength and rigidity with pre-punched flanges for convenient mounting and accepting skim coat finish on site. Fortunately, you'll have no problems achieving a seamless appearance because of its concealed hinge design.
It meets 90 minutes Fire Resistance Rating under CAN ULC S101-14, ASTM E119-16, and NFPA 251, ensuring you tick off fire-safety requirements.
