Every duct system needs an entry point for duct technicians to access during repair or maintenance procedures. If you want a more efficient and safer way of permitting access to your duct areas, consider installing the GDD, a reliable grease duct access door. 

The GDD duct door has a simple design that's easy for any contractor or technician to install on their own. You'll notice that manufacturers used a 16-gauge galvanized steel on the door panel and a 16-gauge (.060) mild steel on the rear mounting frame. The materials used for the duct door ensure durability and security. 

You can also find a gasket between the panel and the rear mounting frame to prevent moisture from escaping. The gasket is rated to 2300 ºF (1260 ºC) to achieve a fire-tight seal. Note that the gasket is High Temp bonded to the front panel to prevent it from moving around once installed. Take note that there are screw studs on the rear mounting frame to secure the panel and frame. Contractors need to use E-Clips on the screw studs to hold back the edge of the duct.
